Terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Proto Lab AM SRL, a company registered in the Republic of Moldova (“we”, “us”). They apply when you download, install or use Switchboard. By doing any of those, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Switchboard.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Switchboard.
1. Words used here
- Switchboard: our app, its updates, its installer and the documents that come with it.
- Your content: your projects and code, what you tell your agents, and what they write for you.
- Software from others: software that comes with Switchboard but is not ours, such as Claude Code, Git for Windows and OpenSpec.
- Services from others: services Switchboard connects to for you, such as Anthropic’s Claude, GitHub or GitLab.
2. Your licence
2.1 What you may do. Personal is free. We give you a personal right to install and use Switchboard on computers you own or control, for personal use. The right is yours alone: you cannot pass it on or share it, and it lasts until it ends under section 12.
2.2 What you may not do. Unless we agree in writing, you may not:
- copy, share, sell, rent or lend Switchboard, or license it to anyone else;
- change it, or take it apart to get its source code, except where the law lets you;
- remove or hide its notices, or our names on it;
- use it to offer a service to others, or to build a product that competes with it;
- get around its security to reach something you are not allowed to;
- use it to break the law or anyone else’s rights;
- use it where a failure could lead to death, injury, or serious damage to property or the environment.
2.3 What stays ours. Switchboard is ours. This licence gives you the right to use it, not to own it. Anything not given to you here stays with us.
2.4 Software from others. Software from others comes under its own terms: Claude Code under Anthropic’s terms, Git for Windows under the GNU General Public License version 2 (its source is published beside each release), and OpenSpec under the MIT License. The installer lists them. Where their terms and these differ, theirs apply to those parts, and nothing here takes away a right they give you.
3. Claude Code and services from others
3.1 Claude Code. Switchboard runs Claude Code, and has it preinstalled. Claude Code is Anthropic’s, used unmodified. Switchboard is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Anthropic, and we are not Anthropic’s partner. Claude and Claude Code are Anthropic’s names.
3.2 Your Claude account. Each person signs in with their own Claude account, through Anthropic’s own sign-in pages. Your use of Claude and Claude Code is between you and Anthropic, under the terms that apply to your account and Anthropic’s Usage Policy. What your agents use is billed to, and counts against, your own account. We do not pay for, resell or pass on Claude usage.
3.3 Your sign-in. Your Claude sign-in is kept by Claude Code on your computer. Switchboard reads it there only to show how much of your plan’s limits you have used, and sends it only to Anthropic, for that.
3.4 Other services. When you connect a project to a service such as GitHub or GitLab, Switchboard uses your own sign-in for it, and that service’s terms apply. We do not run those services and are not responsible for them. If a service changes or stops, the parts of Switchboard that use it may stop working.
4. Your content
4.1 It is yours. Your content is yours, and so is what your agents write for you, as far as the law allows. We claim no rights in it.
4.2 We do not see it. Switchboard runs on your computer and does not send your content to us. We do not access, keep or use it, and we do not use it to train any AI. What your agents read and write goes to Anthropic through Claude Code, under your own account’s terms. Switchboard also connects to the services you set up for a project, and to our release place to check for updates.
4.3 Check what agents write. AI can be wrong. What your agents write may be incorrect, insecure, or like what others have, and it comes with no promise of any kind. Review it before you rely on it or make it live.
5. Your responsibilities
Agents run commands, change files and use the tools and sign-ins on your computer, on your behalf. Switchboard keeps them to rules and brings decisions to you, but it cannot promise an agent will never make a mistake. You are responsible for:
- what you ask agents to do, and what you approve and make live;
- your computer, its security, and the sign-ins and keys on it;
- keeping backups of anything you cannot lose;
- following the law, and the terms of any service you or your agents use.
6. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
7. Updates and support
Switchboard checks for new versions and downloads one only when you choose Update. We may change Switchboard, add or remove features, or stop it. We do not promise support; if you write to us, we will try to help.
8. Teams, Hosted and the sign-up
Teams and Hosted are not available yet. They will have terms of their own.
If you sign up to hear when they open, we keep your email address and your choice of Teams, Hosted or both, and use them only to write to you about that. We do not sell or share them. Write to us at hello@switchboard.amaze.md and we will delete them.
9. No promises
Switchboard is given as it is and as available, as far as the law allows. We make no promises of any kind about it: not that it works, suits your purpose, is accurate, secure, free of errors or always available, or that it does not infringe anyone’s rights.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for anything that comes from using Switchboard or from what your agents do: no loss, damage or cost of any kind, including lost data, code, profits or business.
Some places do not let anyone exclude every responsibility, for example for harm done on purpose or through gross negligence, or a consumer’s rights where they live. Where that is so, we exclude as much as the law lets us, and nothing more.
11. Claims by others
As far as the law allows, if someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your use of Switchboard against these terms or the law, or what your agents did for you, you will cover our reasonable costs of it.
12. Ending
12.1 By you. You can stop at any time by uninstalling Switchboard.
12.2 By us. If you break these terms, your licence ends. We may also end it if we stop Switchboard.
12.3 After it ends. Stop using Switchboard and uninstall it. Your content stays yours and on your computer. Sections 1, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12.3, 14 and 15 still apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, we update this page and its date before the change applies. If you keep using Switchboard after that, the new terms apply; if you do not accept them, stop using it.
14. General
- The whole agreement. These terms are all that is agreed between us about Switchboard.
- If part fails. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term at once, we can still enforce it later.
- Passing it on. You cannot pass these terms on to anyone. We may pass them on to whoever takes over Switchboard.
- Beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Export. You must follow the export and sanctions laws that apply to you and to Switchboard.
- Notices. We give notices on this page, or by email if you have given us your address. You give them to us by email at hello@switchboard.amaze.md.
15. Law and disputes
These terms follow the law of the Republic of Moldova. If a dispute comes up, write to us first, and we will both try to settle it within 30 days. If we cannot, it goes to the courts of Moldova, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your own. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
